An artist with a contemporary and sculptural approach to floral design.
A graduate of OCAD University’s Fine Arts program, Rosalie’s refined aesthetic and strong design sense stems from a foundation of photographic studies and art history. Rooted in her passion for contemporary photography and experience as an image-based artist, her work displays an intimate knowledge and confident use of colour while showcasing an affinity for the unconventional, a fondness for the peculiar.
RZY (pronounced Rosie) is the Toronto based creative practice and nickname of artist and florist Rosalie Villanueva.
Specializing in artistic projects, editorials, styling, and select intimate events, Rosalie’s floral journey began in 2016 where she cut her teeth freelancing for some of Toronto’s top floral studios before establishing her own practice in 2019.
Her designs have been on display for brands including Rakuten Kobo, Sephora, Shiseido, The Kit, Clé de Peau Beauté, Glow Recipe, JVN Hair, and Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare among others.
She takes pride in featuring local blooms whenever possible and a commitment to never use floral foam.
